Step #6 – Smooth edge
Finalizing the case renderings for the eBlocker, the team and supporters felt strongly
about the smooth block design, its simplicity, the clean look promising very cool
functionality and performance. Thanks to all supporters and experts to come up
with such a gorgeous result!

Step #5 – Going for the block
After giving our followers and supporters the chance to vote for their preferred housing,
there is a tendency towards smooth coolness! Of all 4 case designs, one seems to be the favorite –
the block: air vent, cable channel, unique design…all of those specs can best be implemented
in the “block” design.

Step #4 – We have to decide now!
Based on last weeks wireframes, Jan created photorealistic 3D-Models. Now we have 4 great designs,
but each of them have pros and cons. You can choose with us: CLASSIC, SPOOL (with cable management),
BLOCK or FILTER (representing the filtering of content).

Step #3 – Going into detail
We are excited: These are the first 3D-Designs (wireframes) from Jan Meisner, our case designer.
He is a Master graduate in product design from the famous Muthesius School of Arts. Now our main
focus is to develop a unique eBlocker case that combines all wires on the back and allows the Banana
Pi-board to be securely mounted inside. What´s your favorite?

Step #2 – A minimalist design approach
Based on the paper prototype, our agency created a clean 3D rendering. We use this rendering on
our website, on indiegogo and on Facebook. The design does not factor in the technical frameworks yet.
But hey, it does look cool, right? Or does it feel too much like something from Cupertino?…

Step #1 – How to wrap a Banana Pi
What does a box of Banana Pi have to do with ad- and tracking-free surfing? Our eBlocker box is based
on banana pi, a single-board computer that runs several open source OS’s. We are using such a single-board
computer, because it offers a host of power for the price! Fast processor, on-board memory, gigabit ethernet
and so on. Moreover, the board is known to give life to lots of cool projects, so it´s sort of underdoggy.
Cons: The ports are spread across all four sides which is a tad uncool.
