Release 1.3 – preview
| Lauritz

eBlockerOS Release 1.3 is at the Final test stage. In addition to detailed improvements on the interface, we provide several new features such as improved whitelisting for eBlocker Pro and Family. The eBlocker Family is now ready for use to set time quotas for the Internet access individually and to block inappropriate content.

The improved whitelisting feature now allows you to disable ad blocking and tracking blocking for specific pages separately and permanently.

For example, you can use AdBlocker blockers on sites, disable Ad blocking by the eBlocker- and still leave the tracker blocking activated. This site is now displayed (with advertising), but the tracking by third parties is still prevented.

eBlocker Family

The completed Family features allow you to restrict the internet access in terms of time and content.

Per end device, time quotas (e.g., 2 hours per day) and time periods (e.g., 9:00-20:00) can be defined.

Furthermore kids can be protected from inappropriate content such as pornography, violence or gambling. The setup is done in no time. Go to the eBlocker console via your eBlocker settings and click on parental control.

Via “User profiles”, a profile can be created for certain user groups (for example for children or adolescents). The profile determines which site categories are should be blocked for this group (e.g., pornography).

Using predefined categories, you decide which content is not suitable for your kids.

To have an overview of the websites and categories, go to the “Network filter”. The categories are differentiated in “expressly forbidden websites” and “expressly permitted websites”.
